Pioneers, part 1 -- The parachutists

During Rega's fledgling years, jumping out of an aircraft with a parachute on his back was often the only way a rescuer could get to a casualty in inaccessible terrain. So Rega founder, Rudolf Bucher, sent his rescuers to England, where they received parachute-jumping training at a Royal Air Force base. Our pioneers can still clearly remember this intensive time. Accompany them on a journey back to the early days of air rescue by listening to their stories and watching historical film sequences!
