The jet medical consultant is the contact partner for the patients and their next-of-kin. They assess the medical problems of people who have become ill abroad and give them advice over the phone in consultation with the local doctors. They also decide on the necessity of repatriation, judge whether the patient is fit to be transported, and determine the time and most suitable means of transport.

General requirements

• Swiss state examination or equivalent, state-recognised diploma
• Swiss work and residence permits
• Full- or part-time employment possible (at least 50%)
• Place of work: Rega Center, Zurich Airport

Medical requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ further training in clinical subjects
• Preferably a qualified, or soon to qualify, specialist physician for general or internal medicine
• Knowledge of treating intensive-care patients

Language requirements

• Very good language skills in German, English, and French
• Very good language skills in Italian or Spanish
• Additional languages are advantageous
