Guided tours

Have you wondered what things look like at a Rega helicopter base? Or would you like to see our Operations Center where flight coordinators organise and coordinate Rega rescue missions in Switzerland and around the world? Or are you interested in knowing where the helicopter and jet mechanics ensure that our fleet is ready for action around the clock?

We offer interested groups the possibility to take a look behind the scenes at Rega during a free guided tour: at our headquarters at Zurich Airport – the Rega Center – or at a Rega base in your region.

Guided tour of the Rega Center

Would you and a group like to visit our headquarters at Zurich Airport? Please read the general conditions and then reserve the desired date directly in the reservation calendar. Due to high demand we recommend booking early.

Programme

A guided tour lasts around two hours and offers the following programme:

  • Presentation on Rega
  • Inspection of the hangar with ambulance jets (if possible)
  • Inspection of helicopters undergoing maintenance
  • Visit to the Operations Center
  • Rega film
Number of participantsMinimum 10, maximum 36 persons
Minimum age10 years. School classes and groups of young people must be accompanied by at least two adults.
Dates/TimesMonday–Friday, 3.15–5.15pm and 5.45-7.45pm

How to get there

Bus no. 739 from Zurich Airport to the last stop, «Rega».

There are car parking spaces available only after 5.00pm.
There are no parking spaces for tour buses or coaches, although access is permitted to allow passengers to get on/off.
Here you can find a map and directions on how to get to the Rega Center. 

CostsGuided tours are free of charge. However, if you cancel your tour less than one week before the booked date, an administration fee of CHF 170.00 plus VAT will be charged.

Special remarks
  • The directions of the tour guides must be followed anytime.
  • In the event of a mission or unforeseen incident, tours can be delayed, postponed, discontinued or cancelled at short notice.
  • Animals are not permitted at the Rega Center.
  • Unfortunately we are not able to provide any food or refreshments.
